Coat? FC
In early 2010 a group of friends decided to band together and try out this crazy game called Futsal and thus Coat? FC was born. Some of us were athletic some not, some had played soccer their whole lives while some hadn’t touched a soccer ball since they were 6. Nevertheless, we all quickly fell in love with the game and have been playing at Portland Futsal in their D-4 Co-Ed division ever since. The team members have changed quite a bit since the beginning, but we’ve now solidified a very consistent group of players. While we don’t always finish at the top of our division (or even in the top half) we always have fun and run hard. We made a playoff push this past summer and made it all the way to the championship game, only to leave broken hearted. Some day that trophy will be ours.
Late last year we discovered the TAFC framework and knew we had to be a part of it. We’re very excited to be the first futsal team in the TAFC. We’ll try our very best to do that distinction proud.
