SLC Away! Last year was an epic trip that is still on the lips of the TA faithful. Buy your tickets now for the next chapter of the Utah adventure.
If you have any questions or need assistance regarding Salt Lake City please contact garrett.dittfurth@107ist.org; if you are not able to have your query addressed in a timely manner please contact board@107ist.org .
Tickets
The cut off date to purchase tickets was July 5th and all tickets have been sent out electronically. If you have NOT yet received the email with your tickets, first check your spam/junk-mail folder, and if it isn’t there please email us ASAP
Tickets are no longer available for purchase through this site. You may still be able to sit with the Timbers Army though – first email garrett.dittfurth@107ist.org to check if we’ve had any cancellations. Garrett’s our rep in Salt Lake and he’ll know if we have any tickets that people who can no longer make the match have asked us to try resell. If we have no spares, you could try calling Brent Stevens 801-727-2850 at the RSL ticket office – be sure to ask to be seated in the Away Supporters area which is section 234.
Reminder: Our away supporter sections are treated as general admission areas even though there may be seat numbers on your tickets. Because standing, singing chanting and flag waving are to be expected in a supporters section, your view may be blocked at times.
Please read and familiarize yourself with the Timbers Army Travel Code of Conduct. You are solely responsible for your behaviors and actions, please be mindful of this and also look out for your fellow Timbers Army members.
Hotels
Warning: It is not recommended you book a hotel outside of downtown Salt Lake City unless you have transportation. All of our organized meet ups will be downtown.
Little America: This quaint spot in downtown Salt Lake City is the recommended hotel and will serve as the home base. Rates start at $89 per night.
Comfort Inn: Right around the corner from Little America. Rates start at $89 per night.
Metropolitan Inn: The reason I link to hotels.com is that the rate there is half the rate listed on their website.
Protip: Always check the travel websites for deals on hotels. Often times the hotel you want to stay at is cheaper than their advertised rate or there is an alternative hotel nearby at a great deal.
On a budget?
Camelot Inn & Hostel: Rates are very good, the hostel is clean, but it’s a bit of a walk.
Transportation to the match
There will not be organized bus transportation to the match as there is great public transit to Rio Tinto Stadium
Numerous UTA TRAX routes service three stations that are all within a 15-minute walk of Rio Tinto Stadium. These include the Historic Sandy Station (at 9000 South and 200 East), the Sandy Expo Station (at 9400 South, behind Jordan Commons) and the Sandy Civic Center Station (at 10000 South, behind Jordan High School). Please visit www.rideUTA.com for additional information.
Pre and Post-match TA Gatherings:
- There will be a meet up with RSL supporters on Friday July 6th at 9:00pm at The Republican, 917 South State Street, Salt Lake City. There will be a DJ spinning soul/reggae.
- On Matchday, Saturday July 7th, from 2:00pm to 4:30pm we’ll be at Gracie’s, 326 SW Temple, Salt Lake City. (Feel free to show up any time after 11am when they open)
- We’ll be returning to The Green Pig Pub after the match is over to relive last year and analyze the day’s result. Note: Gracie’s know we are coming but the Green Pig is an informal meet up.
