Timbers vs Vancouver Away Trip – 10/21/2012
We will be running a trip to Vancouver in 2012 – if you don’t yet have a passport get the application in NOW! Our organized trips generally include tickets, hotel information and TA events in the city we’re visiting.
At the moment we have not received ticketing information from the Whitecaps but will post the info as soon as we get it, hotel deals and events will be posted closer to the match date.
Note: Because this is one of the matches covered by the Cascadia Travel Agreement, the following additional rules will be in place:
- At the moment we don’t know how many tickets will be available to us. Last year we had 500 and we’ve been told the allocation is being raised this year. Keep your fingers crossed!
- 107ist members will have pre-sale access to the Cascadia Cup match tickets (i.e. the Seattle & Vancouver away trips). If there are any remaining after the pre-sale period they will be released to non-members.
- The ONLY way to sit with the travelling supporters at a Cascadia Cup Match will be to buy a ticket through us. If you buy a ticket on Stubhub or Craigslist you risk being in the middle of opposing fans – this never a good idea for these intense rivalry matches
- Tickets MUST be purchased with the correct details of the person who will be travelling (i.e. you can not buy multiple tickets and put the same name and other information for both)
- If you wish to transfer a ticket to someone else after purchase, we will require the full name and contact information for that person as well as travel document details if they’re going on the TA bus. Email this info to awaytravel@timbersarmy.org
As with all our organized away trips, you must agree to abide by the Away Travel Code Of Conduct
Please see the important notes below regarding international travel requirements.
IMPORTANT
For this trip you MUST have a current passport, enhanced ID, or other acceptable international travel document.
If you are NOT a US Citizen, please consult the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website for your specific ID and visa requirements
Canada, like the United States, has rules that prohibit entry for persons with specific ineligibilities. For example, anyone with a criminal record (including misdemeanors or Driving While Impaired (DWI)), no matter how long ago, may be barred from entering Canada and must obtain a special waiver well in advance of any planned travel. To determine whether you may be inadmissible and how to overcome this finding, please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website.
