We’ve been monitoring the comments from this week’s articles, and this is (by far) the most asked question:
“Where can I buy a No Pity scarf?”
It’s easier than you think, but also not as easy as we’d all like it to be.
Your best bet is to follow the No Pity Van’s Twitter account (yes, it’s a van with an online presence). You’ll always have the latest info on the whereabouts of the Timbers Army’s official merch-slingin’-operation-on-wheels. Also, before and after all home matches the van is parked in Rack Attack‘s garage on SW 18th and Morrison, across the street from Jeld-Wen Field.
However, you should keep the following in mind when looking to buy a No Pity scarf:
- We do not sell No Pity scarves online. We prefer to maintain our old-school merchandising method for this particular item. They have always been delivered face-to-face — reflecting both our DIY roots and the personal connection you make as you join the Timbers Army.
- No Pity scarves are hot commodities. They don’t stay on the shelf for very long. The TA merch crew does their best to keep them in stock, but sometimes that can be difficult. Following the aforementioned Twitter account will help you plan ahead for your purchase.
- The 107ist (the machine behind the Timbers Army) is a non-profit operation. All scarves are sold at cost. If you buy one on eBay, you run a great risk of getting ripped off.
- Despite being awesome, the TA Merch Van still needs occasional maintenance. It doesn’t have a reliable 24/7 mechanic or repair budget like vans belonging to The A-Team or the Scooby-Doo Gang. If something happens to the Merch Van, it may take some time to get it back on the road.
Our dream is for every Timbers fan to own a No Pity scarf. But like most dreams, they take time and effort to become a reality. So if you stumble across the TA Merch Van and have an opportunity to buy a No Pity scarf right there, don’t delay!

This is a great post for all us noobs and people scouring the internet for info. I didn’t know exactly where to look on Thursday and got drenched trying to find it (saw the El Jeffe van and completely missed the merch van somehow), but it was fun frantically looking
. Made sure I had my plan of attack as soon as I got home Thursday night to grab them today before the game. Awesome merch and great to see a long line of people picking up scarves.

If you guys see a white scarf with “NO PITY” in permanant marker during the Galaxy game. Thats me! Thats as close as am to getting up there to buy.

Gents and Ladies – I have a no pity scarf that was found at the home opener game between sections 108 and 109. Someone in the TA sections must have dropped it nearby and another person gave it to me as I was sitting in the folding chair at the stairs between 108 and 109. I watched for someone to come get it, but no one returned for it. I thought of the lost and found at JWF, but thought posting on the blog might be more direct (not a good idea in hindsight.) From that time, I’ve joined the TA and have tried to figure out how to post an original message without success. I’m not good at this yet. If you or somone you know lost a scarf at the home opener match, please PM me or post a reply. We’ll connect and get you your scarf back! If you bought a new one already, I’d be happy to buy it from you. Sorry for the hassle. More discription would help. Color fringe? Condition? Does it have a red rose? Any patches or signitures on it? If it has a CR on it its mine…LOL.

I was in 108 and lost my scarf, but assumed that it was at the Bitter End. It’s from about 6-7 years ago (so no roses), pilling, black fringe and has a small green TA button on it. If your scarf fits that description- awesome! If not, no worries! Thanks!
My son lost his scarf at the home opener. We were sitting in section 108. It is a no pity scarf with yellow and green fringe. Does that fit the description? He would love to get it back. Thanks for asking around.
I was keeping the details about the scarf unknown so there was some way to authenticate it when someone inquired. I don’t like to think people would use this as a chance for a free scarf, but there are always a few bad apples in every barrell.
Sean – what is a “CR” – maybe just a mark you made on it with a marker? Tell me what is on your scarf and we’ll see if it’s a match.
Nicole – this one doesn’t have a pin on it, but maybe it fell off? Any more detail you can provide?
