  • What subject areas you'd like to blog about (yes, we know it's about 'The Timbers', but be a little more specific... how about 'New Fan Perspective' or 'North End Culture' or 'T2 Analysis' ...I'm sure you get the idea!)

I’m a Timbers fan who grew up in Portland, Oregon, but who lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I’m a stranger in a strange land, and not just because of my love of the Timbers. I think that’s the perspective I would take when writing: what’s it like to be in a place that is a hotbed of soccer fandom, but (at least until the Miami team gets active) doesn’t have a single team to support. Everyone loves “football,” but this is a perfect melting pot of soccer fandom.
I’m going to the Orlando City game on the 3rd of April—my first MLS Timbers game. I’d love to write about the experience of going to the game as a fan of the champs, coming to visit my adopted state. But whatever; honestly, I’m up for whatever you all need.
My writing sample is a website that I wrote from 1997 through a few years ago. I still write a good bit, but that’s as good a sample as you’re going to get from me.
    Thanks!
    Jeremy
